Vehicle scenes from the movie "The Artist"

Great old bus.... in the beginning of the movie the female lead character arrives in Hollywoodland on this bus, in the dvd extras they had the below color image showing the back of the bus. The tires look very 1930's or 40's, but the headlights and front end look quite 1920's. The movie at this point was pre-1929.

Houdini's wand, Washington's axe, and this 1931 Cadillac... not much original material to the item you see that is called the original, it's all been replaced I think

well, there wasn't much left of a Cadillac was there? And engine block, exhaust manifolds, steering, front fenders... but was any of that kept? Regardless, the car that was made is magnificent, and the call sheet says it was a 31 year job to make it as you now see it displayed below

one of 304, 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham

what they left off this call out card is extensive, but in a nutshell it was the most expensive car made that year:  $13,074... for the 1958 Cadillac Brougham. $2000 more than the Rolls Royce that year (Hot Rod Deluxe May 2008, Page 42)
